Explore landmarks like Agios Titos Church and the Venetian Loggia, or visit the Archaeological Museum and Natural History Museum. For a touch of tradition, stop by Cretan Argastiri for unique souvenirs and local crafts.

Fodele: The Village of El Greco

Explore the picturesque village of Fodele, just a 30 minute drive from Cicada Suites, famed as the birthplace of the renowned painter Doménikos Theotokópoulos, known as El Greco, often considered the greatest figure of the Cretan School of Iconography.
Visit the El Greco Museum, learn about his artistic legacy and admire replicas of his works, and then wander through the village’s quaint streets, with the historic churches and traditional tavernas or take a scenic walk along the lush river.

Nikos Kazantzakis Museum

Offering a deep dive into the life and work of one of Greece’s most acclaimed writers, the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum in Myrtia, will offer you a fascinating glimpse into the life of a literary giant, all while being conveniently close to your stay at Cicada Suites.
